On the 17 of January 2009, it’s an important date. Why? Because it’s Pesta Ang Pow 2009. It had been a year. As I said in my blog last year, it is an event that held annually. This year’s event begun with the singing of the theme song by UMS student. Eeleen was in there too. The events continue with the singing from a choir and the member consists of adult that are more than 40 years old. Their singing was really beautiful.
Next was the break dance by UMS students too. One of my course mates Esien was the break dancer. Their dance was awesome. This year, they had a lot performers that were invited to perform in this pesta ang pow.
There were lion dance performances, dragon dance, ‘bian lian’(change face magic show), ‘che ling’, Chinese orchestra and wushu performances. This year they also invite an artist to perform. The artist is a local artist, Karen Kong. She sang some songs, I can’t remember the title but her voice was powerful. Overall this years Pesta Ang Pow was definitely better than last years, but there’s still room for improvement. It’s a good job to all the committees. Well done!!
